3rd pin in a small li-ion battery?
« on: March 10, 2018, 10:17:39 pm »
I have a small capacity li-ion battery - 3.7V, 770 mAh - which has 3 terminals. The red and black wires seem to be the + and - terminals. I wonder what the yellow wire is used for.

These appear to be the datasheets for the battery:

- http://www.whaleyfoodservice.com/EquipmentManualsIntegration/Manuals/SAY0069.pdf

The 1st datasheet describes the middle pin as "PIN2: TH (LNSR16H333JP-33K?/±5%)"

Thermistor, 33 kohm at room temperature, used for temperature sensing of the battery (over temperature protection).
