Transformer calculation abbreviations question
«
on:

In this quotation what do the abbreviations stand for when calculating transformer turns ratios please?
"I just use whatever feels right and apply the V < 4.44F.N.A.B absolutely rigorously, keeping B to less than 0.1 usually"
Thanks.

F = frequency.
N = number of turns.
B = flux density.
A = cross-sectional area of core.
Note, the formula only applies to sine waves.
