In this tutorial, I show how to damp the output filter so that you don't get ringing when powering up the supply. I also show the effects of operating in Discontinuous Current Mode (DCM) and show how the supply will peak detect when in DCM. In peak detecting, the output voltage of the supply will ramp up and possibly damage any sensitive loads that the supply may be connected?
