UART Test
« on: August 19, 2014, 06:19:10 pm »
I am currently in the process of  wiring a 16550 UART to my Z80 computer. As a test I thought I would use the UART frequency (1.8432 Mhz) in one of those little four leg metal packages as both the input to the UART and the Z80. Will this have any adverse effects on my circuit, such as make it not work? I am attaching my schematic, and my code for reference. Thanks for the help!

Shouldn't be a problem.

I have since gotten it to work.  Bad wiring as always. Soon enough I will be posting to the forum via my Z80 computer.  :scared: Thanks.
