Understanding potentiostat circuit

Hello everyone,

I am trying to understand the potentiostat circuit that is outlined in this attached figure. I am not sure why two resistors are required for the working of the op amp. They are usually of the same value (10k or 11k). I thought it was a differential amplifier, but it doesn't resemble one. May be it is? I am thoroughly confused at this point. Hopefully be someone can help me understand this circuit?

I wonder if the potentiostat was brought to your attention by recently watching the same video that I did.

The resistors and capacitors implement external frequency compensation to prevent the operational amplifier from oscillating.  Just one RC pair should be sufficient; I do not know why the schematic shows two.

The operational amplifier maintains voltage on the CE electrode such that the voltage between the reference electrode and WE electrode is equal to the reference voltage at the non-inverting input.
