UNI-T UT61D or Uni-t Ut139C
« on: August 29, 2016, 11:02:17 am »
Hello all.

I am new to electronics and this will be my first semester attending an electronics school, so I was looking to buy a multimeter. I often tinker with computer equipment and built some as a hobby. I know UNI-T is not the best brand out there but I am also not a professional I am a beginner and hobbyist. I was having a look at the two meters at the title but I would like some further opinions. I have found both on amazon.com for 40 and 35 $ respectively.

Thank you!

I'm leaning towards the UT-61D, since it has PC interface.
But how about something like this ?

It has data PC interface as well as a few more useful functions ( eg. temp ).
Here's a review for it.

Hey there I checked the meter though I believe they have trouble with their computer software not receiving proper support.
