USB Host Shield Error
« on: March 11, 2015, 12:57:54 am »
Hey there! I recently got a USB Host Shield from Circuits@Home and I ran the test program and here are the results I got:

Circuits At Home 2011
USB Host Shield Quality Control Routine
Reading REVISION register... Die revision invalid. Value returned: 00
Unrecoverable error - test halted!!
0x55 pattern is transmitted via SPI
Press RESET to restart test

I also ran the PS3BT sketch in an attempt to connect a PS3 controller to the Arduino via bluetooth but I got "OSC did not start" multiple times after once when I got "PS3 Bluetooth library" which made me all like  :scared: and I was filled with joy but that quickly faded as I got "OSC did not start" very soon after that.

I feel like  |O |O |O

SomebodyPleaseHELP!

Have you soldered 2x3 header?

A good picture of a soder job would be helpful. Also, try running Arduino from external power source.

How would I know if the USB Host Shield worked or not? If I am running from an external power source.

Take a picture of your solder job and post it here.
