What does NC mean in this table?
« on: October 22, 2016, 02:06:49 am »
Hi,

I am just wondering what the NC means (see attached)?

Its from Page 33 of the AX8052F143-D datasheet:

http://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Collateral/AX8052F143-D.PDF

I am guessing it means Non-Critical, but I would like to know what it means.

No connection.

So do I remove the cap entirely from the circuit? The reason I ask is because that part of the circuit is part of an LC filter.

NC there means no component, as there is really no way you can get a 0.01pF capacitor in ceramic, so just leave it out and let the stray capacitance of the pads be it. In this application likely will only be populated if the frequency is below 100MHz.

That makes more sense. Thanks

Just wondering if you can point me to a good source which explains the components of the circuit.
