Where to buy cheapest 74XX family inegrated circuts?

Hello.
We will need lots of those toys. Everyone on my year in university will have to do project using those. We all know that we will need lots of those.
What is the cheapest place to get those? Maybe some China internet shop?
This is just one time small university project. Those don't have to be top quality things.

I was looking and didn't found anything interesting.

You might drop email to some of your local suppliers, who knows you might get lucky and get good deal if you know what you need. Other then that most suppliers gives you discounts if you buy full tubes/trays depending on how chips are packaged.

Already did it. The best I got was -20% when ordering above 10000 pices of one type. Not good deal. That is why I'm looking for same cheap ones. I know that there must be some cheap shop in china (I found Arduino Mega in one of those shops for $3 last yaer and bought 50 of it . But that shop is closed now or I can't find it.

That is good idea. I'll try to find somtheing. But I live in more "Heavy industral" area.

In Poland normal price is 0,20 USD for 74HC00.

I know you're not bothered about excellent quality but watch out for fakes. You don't want to waste your time helping students with projects that don't work because you bought pirated components.

If you're in the US, students (and professionals and hobbyists) can often sample small quantities of chips. Texas Instruments has a nice sample program, not sure of others any more. Also not sure what the deal outside the USA is. eBay is my choice when i need chips that are too expensive or not well stocked by a distributor. (A CD4043BCN chip for example). Very unlikely that anyone is going to bother faking 74 series TTL... microcontrollers and other more complex ICs, sure, but the dice probably costs less than the rest of the package with these.

I'm a studned so if somethig will not work (what I daubt) will only affect me and few friends (We want to buy more togheder).
And in Poland companies will never give you free stuff.
