If you mean Los Angeles, try Fry's Electronics.

If you mean Louisiana, I have no idea :-)

Ebay for better deal. I wouldn't go to an electronic store to buy a multimeter since they're gonna charge you alot. Check around the pawn shops.

On ebay, especially avoid listings that have the unit power on in DC or AC range without any probe attached and the display shows 170V ;D

I got my second Fluke 77 at a pawn shop for $25 a few years ago.
I'm either at my bench, here, or on PokerStars.

Hmm, my Flukes wouldn't be my first choice to take to a pawn shop.  I'd
take HP stuff first, then Tektronix, then finally Fluke.... :-)

I got a Tektronix DMM a long time ago, like 10 years. The thing was only good for driving in tent stakes.
I think it's at the bottom of a cardboard box somewhere in my attic.

I will check it out today.

How did it go?  I went to a Fry's in Manhattan Beach for a $10 emergency multimeter once and I could count the girls in there on one hand.   :D

They did have an OK selection of Flukes though.
