Is my power-adapter universal?
« on: January 11, 2017, 07:14:49 pm »
I have an item(Roland sc-D70) with 100 V marking on it. Id like to use it on 230 V line.
So I opened it and found:
Poweradapter on separate board. (KPC 1694V-0)
  • It has fuse T2AL250V.
  • Cap 400V.
  • Heatsinked 3-leged thingi

Can i asume its safe to use or is there something more i should look?
Marking KPC 1694V-0 seems to be more universally used, what is it?

I'd expect it to have a range like 100-240V rather than a single voltage if it was universal.

I wouldn't assume anything, a quick check on google reveals only that it seems to be used by a number of different company's  ie Samsung and the like but found no specs or any info relating to voltages.

As it is marked 100V, most likely, it accepts 100V only. No other useful information provided in the post.
