« on: August 15, 2017, 03:46:51 pm »
Hey guys,

after trying to connect my raspberry with the LED with a controller it first worked perfectly but after connecting the power supply anything got worse.

Even with another Raspberry the LED wont react

But all lights are working fine
When you put them into energy supply they sometimes turn for a while

everything does not work! Please help us!

Hello!

I have had similar problems of signal getting lost (read https://www.eevblog.com/forum/beginners/help-with-ws2812b-led-strip/ see if it helps ). I would try connecting a different power supply. Also does the power supply have a common ground with the raspberry pi? If not then funny business can happen! Have you got a 300 - 500 Ohm resistor between the Raspberry Pi and the first led? Try also adding a 1000uF capacitor between the +5 (or +12) and GND. See if any of these help or if anything changes!

Good Luck!
Gabriel
