YH-995D Vs YH-898D+ ???

Hey guys,

Looking for a entry level SMD station and seen a fair bit on here and other sites about the value YH-898D+ so was ready to pick one up this weekend, but then spotted the YH-995D, is this just the same unit with a big LCD???

995D has all the features of 898D+ and 899D+. It means you can program the sleep time (time after the soldering iron is not touched the temperature will fall to 200 deg C. I have 899D+ and this feature is very handy. it saves tip and heater. 898D+ dosn't have this feature.

But in addition for 995D you can also digitally calibrate the hot air gun and iron temperature +-50 C. if you wanted to calibrate 898D+ you would need to open the station in order to access the trim pots.
it also has a celsius/Fahrenheit unit conversion.

manufaturer also claims it's temperature stability to be +-1C which is pretty good, and more powerful soldering iron (70W)

Overall I think 995D is superior over 898D+ in many ways.

I would take 995D over 898D+ although my 899D+ has served me well last...3 years I think
