Thanks, that is very informative, but I would still like more resources so if you have anymore I would like to see them...

What specifically is it you're looking for ? Also, what flavour of ZigBee ? (ZigBee or ZigBee PRO) ? Any profiles ? (Smart Energy, Home Automation etc) ?

a general sense of zigbee, which I think I have down now, ZigBee PRO and Smart Energy. I have been reading the spec sheets from the ZigBee Alliance, but one can only stand that for so long before going crazy.

What I really want right now is something that gives more in depth but is not a spec sheet.

I found this book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0750685972/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 and it is very helpful and easy to read. For anyone else who wants to learn ZigBee I would say this should be first stop. I bought it because i have gotten several books from this publisher and they have all be very good.

Hi Tony R.,
I am not sure you are there yet but you might find it useful to look into the Peryton ZigBee sniffer - www.perytons.com.
They provide a 30 days free evaluation download of their SW that includes pre-captured data files (SE profile included) and also some features that are usually included in their licenses Add-Ons (traffic Generator) that enables you to 'theoretically' build messages based on a desired profile, encrypt it with a key and security level of choice, and look at the way the message actually would look like if transmitted over the air.

Hope this info helps ;-).
