I am not in a hurry ...  :)

Even so,
it would be interesting to read the view of the company , about the half functioning banana jack.

I wonder if anyone makes IP67 rated oscilloscopes. It would be nice to see one of those dragged through a canyon!

The true IP67 for electronics - tools - cameras , are one known manufacturer,
who does safety cases ( that can handle anything ) .
They are very expensive , and very few invest in them.
I do not remember the brand.

But generally many do rugged boxes with o-ring shields.

I got an similar rugged water proof box, for the cards of my digital camera. (expensive solution )

Sure, you can put anything in a Pelican case and call it IP67, but I think the purpose of rugged equipment is to actually be able to use it in rough environments, not just transport it.

a Pelican case

Yep that's the name..  :)

About rough environments , the canyon ride it is an true exception ,
there is no an equal hard environment as that, that any one would install an electrical installation in it.
The drop test and the waterproofing test has more actual value , and so my curiosity does grow , about the results in this area.
Lets hope that the Part-2 it will not delay that much.

There is also the minor annoyance that while the multimeter might survive being soaked, the user might not if they try to use it while still wet.

The waterproof DMM , it is an extra positive addition.
1) It will protect the DMM from death , like from falling in to water.
2) When making high volt measurements 380V +  , it will not be effected in a steamy environment.
3) Its impossible any formation of humidity or of chemicals, to get in it, and corrode the electronics.

The majority of the DMM users work always in door , with their coffee cup next to them, and they do not have the knowledge,
of what feels like, of working under the open sky with sun or rain.

I picked one up recently to keep my iPhone safe while at  the beach. It is mechanically very solid--I think it would survive if an elephant trod on it--but I have not tried an immersion test with it. I suppose I could actually try putting it underwater while empty to check it out. Also it does not appear to have a very secure closure. It seems like it might pop open if dropped or knocked, so probably best not to rely on it in extreme environments. Think of it mainly as being dust and waterproof rather than bulletproof.
