EEVBlog #267 and #265
« on: April 13, 2012, 02:43:45 am »
Hey Dave, what did you do differently with how you uploaded these two episodes to Youtube?  Unlike your other episodes, they will NOT show up in a search in my Samsung Youtube App on my Bluray player.  I always watch your vlog on my TV.  For these two episodes, though, I had to resort to watching them on my computer.  Is there some way you can check to make sure they show up in all the Youtube apps in the future?  At the same time, maybe there's a way you can find out why I usually have to wait up to 24 hours before your episodes hit the Youtube Apps (I can't see them for that long after I see them available on the Youtube website).

The options are BLANK to us youtubers .
It's about how Samsung does it , it might cache a day earlier and only refresh the cache the next day .
And it can be possible that Samsung is screwing it's users like it did with it's phones .
Why i mention phones , when the Galaxy S came out and S II came out , pretty much a hell lot of apps are unusable .
 ;)

No idea, sorry, nothing different as a far as I know.
Have never used a Youtube app.
MY new media box has one though, I might try it.

I sometimes watch the blog videos on my AppleTV and I've noticed a few times the latest videos don't show up even when searching specifically for the title. I would guess either Apple/Samsung use their own caching (or 3rd party) or google itself has a separate API interface for these devices that takes a while to catch up to the main youtube site.

Yeah, that's exactly how I search for them: by title.  These two episodes still haven't shown up on there.  I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
