iOS gateway error

I suspect this'll error is related to  the Tapatalk pop-up.... which I keep telling to go away!

502 - Bad Gateway

Every few weeks, chrome on iOS simply can't get to the unread list.
Safari on iOS works...
Chrome and edge on windows- no problem
So it seems to be some interaction between Chrome / iOS and EEVblog forums...

it all comes good some days later without any outward changes

I had exactly the same thing on IOS a couple of weeks ago. I had to clear my cookies, but as I use Chrome on IOS rather than Safari (IOS Safari is completely useless for forum posting) there doesn't appear to be a facility to selectively delete cookies, it's all or nothing.

Do you have Chromes "data saver" setting on? That sends all your Chrome browsing through a single proxy/gateway over at Google. Try turning it off, it caused tons of problems for me as servers would see hundreds of users from a single address and flag it as spam.

--- a good idea, but 'data saver' is already off.  Thanks.

BTW ... the direct link to 'replies To my posts' always works... only the 'show unread posts'.
