Don't forget that the Far East is where this feng shui thing comes from. A girlfriend once worked in a call center where there were lots of unhappy staff and folk resigning on a regular basis so the boss brought in a feng shui 'consultant' to improve the working atmosphere. He advised moving around a few desks and adding a couple of potted plants then submitted an invoice for over a thousand Euro. In the next three months five more people quit (including my ex gf) and a month after that the company was taken over and asset stripped.

There's no way you can win this by using science.

No matter how you 'test' it they can always say:
* It wasn't real world conditions
* The magic only happens at certain times of the day (when the grid is 'dirty')
* Your electrons might come from wind power so they're already well behaved
* Your fuse box is the wrong sort of plastic
* You wiped in the wrong direction
* ...any number of bullshit excuses

How do you impart appropriate knowledge to people who are convinced that the laws of thermodynamics are a government conspiracy designed to block their God-given right to free energy?

Most of the world's population have had at least nine years of compulsory education, but many seem to chuck science straight out of the window as soon as it becomes inconvenient.

It's so much more satisfying to believe that you can stick it to The Man by buying electron vibration alignment wipes, magnetic fuel savers, tachyonic healing energy pendants, or whatever worthless pseudoscientific snake oil is flavour of the month.

I agree that testing would just give credibility to the product.

However, I'm curious as to what actually is in the wipe, and how safe it is. Alcohol? Water? Chemicals? A chemical analysis could be interesting, but I would not test effectiveness in any way. Maybe a window cleaning test...

  Thanks, Dave for that video! That really gave me a laugh yesterday.  I have not been well the past few years but that brightened my day! The seller's video looked like a spoof The Onion would publish. My bogosity meter was pegged and chattering! Keep at it Dave!
