Some minutes ago I have received the free IR cable with DHL express.
The item was coming from the Nederlands.
I didn't had to pay upon reception.

I've received the U1173B cable today morning.
I have to DMM U1272A and U1273A, and choosed one cable and later model, and one U128x.

The (bad, for me) news is, it came by Fedex, with invoice, and I have to pay the taxes (wich in my country is a LOT).
This happened before anyone from Keysight contacted me. I was waiting some call or something like that, but suddenly the Fedex van came to my house.

I filled the info on 11/23 and today one option was delivered. Great! 

PS: I've paid more to my country than the cable costed to Keysight (US$ 50,4 taxes x US$ 36,95 cable invoice). This is one reason brazil still so behind on technologie...   (This PS has nothing to do with Keysight)

Haha, yeah.. Almost the same here  Already expecting to pay that though, thought it was still worth it for a new DMM.

UPS and FedEx are the only two couriers that haven't scammed me yet, so I'm staying hopeful.. Although I wish they could just use normal post..

Update

I've sent an email to Keysight, and they said to me that it (pay the taxes) should not happen. And when they send the DMMs they would take care to not happen next time.

Yeah I got the 'can't verify your purchase' thing to. First they asked for photos of the unit, then a week later they wanted a copy of the invoice. Since then I haven't heard anything. Ball seems to be moving extremely slowly. At this rate I might as well have got the redesigned version.

I haven't received any notification to date in relation to a picture being required or any other proof of ownership, I did sort of wonder though how they would go about confirming that an application for a replacement unit was in fact valid and not just people pulling serial numbers out of a hat and hoping to get lucky, anyway I've taken some pictures of the submitted unit in case they do ask, the big blue for boxing day is still scheduled.

Strange, they asked for both of them in one mail in my case. I got it on Monday and i replied on the same day, but no answer since then :/ .

Don't think there will be an issue. At least in the past, Keysight dispatched items from Netherlands.

I hope you are right, in this God's forsaken place end users even can't get samples from outside EU they will charge the shit out of you, but if the same invoice goes via company all is okay no tax no nothing

Why? My replacement U1272A was shipped from Netherlands. Their ebay store ships through Netherlands if you are in the EU (devices sold originally are located in Malaysia). But as you are in Norway, I don't know from where you will get it.

Also it makes no economical sense. It's much cheaper to ship a huge container of devices to Netherlands and then ship within EU, rather than individually from Malaysia.

wraper's indicated shipping date of 16-Dec-2016 I think is the earliest posted so far, I would probably be camping out alongside the letterbox if I thought something of this calibre was about to turn up and don't forget that Dave had a couple of these meters go walk about when Keysight sent them out for review once before, I think in that instance though it was a dodgy Toll courier or some other shifty bugger.

It's not unusual for shifty buggers to increase their activity during the holiday season, so definitely keep your eyes peeled for packages left on your doorstep.

You might be right, I won't say for sure. I just assumed it was sent from Malaysia because the people handling this promo are all in Malaysia.

Never assume something like that. For example, Dell support in US is outsourced to India. But of course, they don't ship sold and replacement devices from India but locally from US.
