Ah, a plugin I tested temporarily set the default currency to USD it seems. Fixed that earlier today.

Just ordered one and can confirm it is now fixed. PayPal charged EUR102.16, but did not take anything from my available balance which currently has some GBP in it. Did you see my comment on a wan hung low value?  >:D

Dave can run with the "No Bullshit" without any problems.  We've seen that over and over.

He couldn't try flying "No Waffle" and get away with it.  We've seen that too.

But when you put it all together, it is informative, entertaining and well worth the time to watch each video he puts up.

I wanted to order one, but it tells me that there's no shipping method available for (Switzerland, ZH, 8008) :(

Surely shipping to Switzerland isn't different than shipping to other parts of Europe?

If Dave put "No Waffle" on a box out of political correctness, that would be bullshit.

I had a little business and I discovered that when you have a problem involving the decision of a client (packaging in this case) is wise to let them choose what they want, probably keep all packaging options available is a good way to procede.

If it's a case of having two different rubber stamps, then...whatever.  :-//

(But at least make the politically correct people wait for the second or third batch to arrive before they get theirs...  :box: )

Hi Dave,
I couldn't figure out, if you will accept orders from Germany this time. I don't want to be the cause of trouble again, like when I ordered the µcurrent. Actually, now it looks quite similar to me: according to your order-form the delivery to Germany seems to be possible and the australian post website tells me that this pack-and-track-thing is availabale for Germany too.
So makes it sense to order one multimeter from you? Or maybe Simon from Sparky labs will be (or already is) the EU distributor for the multimeter, like for the µcurrent?

Greetings
Stefan

Yes, it's available to Germany and some Germans have ordered it.
It could get stuck for month in customs like last time though, I'm testing that.

I ordered one and I'll see how long it will take. Since this is my first time ordering something from overseas, I'm a bit excited to see what additional taxes and fees await me.

Your experience will be no doubt horrific. Germany has by far the most ridiculous customs program on the planet. And I've shipped to virtually every country on the planet. Germany stands tall among all others.

Hi Dave,

Got my EEVblog meter yesterday - looks great but I haven't had a chance to play with it as yet.

Did have a quick squiz at your version of the manual though and just happened to open it at the Trouble Shooting page.

I noted the new technical term you inserted instead of "...fails to operate..."   ie "...looks to be buggered..."   :-DD

Loved it - can't wait to read the rest of it for more gems like that!

I'm happy to hear that and I have ordered one. :D

Germany has by far the most ridiculous customs program on the planet.

Indeed, you and me would say it this way. Others would call it 'deutsche Gründlichkeit'. ;)

Greetings

Looks like you're on a winner Dave!  :)

I'm happy to get a good meter and at the same time support the blog.

Glad I got in early before they sold out.  :-+

Keep up the great work!

Obligatory 'you sold out'-joke?

Joking of course!

Are you going to publish the schematics or do a teardown and hack it? :D

SERIOUSLY, NO BULLSHIT!

there are some stuff, a depth comparison against others would be nice to have.

Most cheapo DMMs are crappy and I hate to lack wireless non-ir datalogging able to use it on the com0uter, maybe a keyboard modewould be nice for spreadsheets too.

Kind regards.

Teardown photos are on the website and in the manual.
Brymen will not give me the schematic, nor tell me what the main chipset is.

A review and comparison will come. But probably no point if I don't have stock to actually sell.

Hey Dave,

Just ordered one and noticed on checkout its on backorder, how long roughly until you get more stock.

Cheers

April.
I'm removing the Backorder option now I think, as I will no doubt get complaints about the delay.
