Is there a way to ignore threads?

Some threads seem to go on forever - thousands of replies and years and more it seems.
Is there a way to *automatically* ignore these threads so I never see them on my screen again?

There is if you're using the "show unread posts" system.

Just tick the threads you don't want to see any more and then click the "Ignore topics" button
