Anything you create is automatically covered by copyright, you don't have to apply for it.
So no one can use my text, my images, my website code etc but that doesn't cover "look and feel".
To protect that you need a design trademark, and that's tricky business.
I have a trademark on EEVblog, so no one can use that name, but apart from that it's fair game.

Except I would image that in a case like this, the "product" is the individual creating content, and that would likely muddy the water. i.e. Any "moron in a hurry" looking at that content can tell he's not me, from his photo, from his name, or from the content itself.
But at first glance, visually the word EEDBlog looks a lot like EEVBlog.
The intent to mimic seems reasonably clear though.

I just realized that, by posting links to his content here, there was probably a spike in viewership on his channel.
If the content is good this will keep him in business, which is an overall good thing and in the future this could be seen as a playful act to get early attraction.
If the content is bad, then it will naturally fade.

The intent would appear to be some variation on typosquatting (Eee-Eee-Dee versus Eee-Eee-Vee, close in sound and on the keyboard) I guess with the intention of snaffling a bit of ad revenue from Google. As you say,  , he might make $5 a year from it.

This is a result of sowing the seeds of knowledge, give a another perspective, or someone that has on the "hate" side The title sugest it may be focus on the designing perspective, but description refers to electronics.

I didn't finish my sentence... The fact that someone could make a similar title and content it may lead to more occurences or derivates from the title for other purposes... like youtube

Yeah, I don't get it.
I've helped inspire dozens, if not a hundred channels into starting their own, and no one felt the need to play off my name or web site design until now, as it's silly to think that can even work.
Anyone with any sense of how Youtube and the internet works knows there is no advantage to doing that.

A google search does pull up a number of other EED Blogs (eg. https://eed.osu.edu/welcome-eed/eed-blog).
