(AU) Free Faulty Yamaha Electone HS-8 Organ Central Coast
« on: September 11, 2018, 08:13:43 am »
Hi,
Have a faulty Yamaha Electone HS-8 Organ if anyone wants it before it goes to landfill.
The audio output is DC and has blown the speakers. Its mostly together and I have been using it with midi out to my laptop.
The amplifier IC's are STK4026 I've pulled them out and was going to replace them and the speakers but I've lost interest.

The thing is HEAVY. It does come apart into 5 pieces though.

Living in the other side of the world, unfortunately I have to pass. However, I drooled over this model when I was a young student playing electronic organ in the 80s. Quite novel for its time were the preset buttons in the lower keyboard, which helped quite a lot on stage.

Oh, the "whys" of the datasheets... The information is there not to be an axiomatic truth, but instead each speck of data must be slowly inhaled while carefully performing a deep search inside oneself to find the true metaphysical sense...

This is about an hour's drive each way for me - but the problem is the space.  I don't have anywhere to put it.  Plus I have already another keyboard awaiting repair.

SWMBO would give me "the look" for even mentioning this.  Not really being able to play doesn't help, either.

It does have two keyboards. Perhaps she could accompany you.

I'll be on the keyboard and she will have the knife.

The only question will be what gets the blade's attention.

Let's not go there.

I have a HS8 dissambled for transport, also a HS6 I just cant get sound out of it, all seems to be working, checked a few voltages, I have circuit diag and book. I would like to fix the 6. What with the hospital physio saying I need an exercise bike I am running out of room, the model trains takes up room too. I need to cut my losses, come and get them! 0208053048 Bob in Kincumber  |O
