« on: June 07, 2018, 07:29:24 pm »
I have some spare probes:

 Agilent 10073C 10:1 new in the bag; 90EUR 65EUR +shipping

Features:
-Bandwidth: 500 MHz
-System risetime (calculated): <700 ps
-Attenuation Ratio: 10:1
-Input resistance: 2.2 MO (when terminated into 1 MOhm)
-Input capacitance: ~12 pF
-Maximum input (dc + peak ac): 500 V CAT I (mains isolated) 300 V CAT II (post receptacle mains)
-Compensation range: 6 - 15 pF

Agilent 10440B 100:1; 200 150EUR + shipping

All accesoires present
Circuit Loading: 10M ohm; 2.5 pF
Typical Scope Bandwidth: 300 MHz
Compensates Scope Input: 1 M ojm; 6 to 14 pF

What is the voltage rating of the 100:1 probe?

What is the purpose of a 300V 100:1 probe?
Usually the 100:1 probes have voltages of 1000 to 4000 V

2.5pF loading I'd say. ~5x lower than a typical 10:1 probe. I normally use 100:1 for the voltage rating, but have needed it for the low loading sometimes as well.

One thing to watch is the compensation range - might be a bit low for use with some scope inputs (i.e. check before buying!).
