How is chromatic aberration with this magnifier? I have woeful experience with cheap table magnifiers - object edges full of colors... my brain hates it.

Personally I haven't really noticed any colour issues with it - but I'm no optics expert and haven't really noticed it on cheaper ones either.
The lens is glass rather than plastic and about 5 inches in diameter, if that's any help.

What it's made of and how big it is means very little.  It's the actual shape of the lens that matters most.

And... you guessed it, they're back again this week, €35. At least in my local Lidl although they don't seem to be listed with this weeks offers on the website.
Great news for me because (a) I get to keep my annual tradition of updating this thread and (b) I extended my bench and could do with another of these.

I got 1 of these from Ebay, I am sure it was around £30. The one posted here looks a better puppy all around but the one I have does the job and helps no end so I may upgrade.

I've bought a number of things from Lidl containing a lens or lenses and not one of them is any good, the lenses don't have a focus, just a large area where the image is a bit less blurred.
