Thanks for the heads up Ca_s12.  I've been on the lookout for an electronic load for a long time, but there aren't that many for a reasonable price.  It's worth noting that the eBay listing includes free shipping, so might be better for those not in LA.

Don't they exist anymore? , I looked on the company site and zero , not anything related either .

So question is do they need mains? , if so 240vac available? , I tried to find a data sheet/user manual , nice looking gadget too ..

edited , the only other link I could find , picture not big enough to see the mains voltages

Thanks  Ca_s12 for sharing with us this great offer.
I also ordered one. I am very happy with that purchase. . I am looking for long time for any used electronic load in Europe but prices was to expensive.
I paid now double almost double of original price for shipping and import fees to my country but this offer still bargain. So for anyone from USA or CANADA that will be BIG deal.

Only I hope to have any manual with package because i can't find any user manual online  ::).

Doesn't look that impressive from the front, very minimalist, why hide the input's on the back ? in the ebay advert they would rather show you 2 nice pictures of a box rather the back view  ???. Never heard of Amrel, are these like the 'Mark Vincent' brand of the test gear world. ?   ;D

It would be difficult to push 60A through the binding posts :)

I'd love to see a tear down.  Those units are difficult to calibrate when they drift out of spec compared to the pot driven Array 3710.
Best Wishes,

Yes I paid that final price of 152$ to Bulgaria, but you cant find anywhere new DC Load under 300-400$. Also if you buy from China and when you pay shipping cost and import duties +VAT  you will pay 400-500$ final price. So that was bargain offer for that Amrel.

A good DC load for $89 is not something to let pass.

Damn.  There needs to be a "Notify by text message" option or something for great deals.  I missed it too.

Wow, they sold fast, glad I got one while the going was good.  Thanks for the link carpelux, I was struggling to find anything more than the headline specs.  Programmable transients with programmable slew rate is awesome.  Given that they're new and in the original packaging, I'm hoping that they'll include a user manual.  Has anyone seen a PDF around?

I have contacted AMREL about the user/repair guide. They told me the test equipment division was sold to AMETEK in 2010.
Waiting for an answer from AMETEK now.

I'm sure there will be a manual available as soon as they reach some of the eevblog/forum members :-)

I missed the detail that those are new/boxed units...maybe for the best as I was in time to take one but really I don't have much use (and space) for it. Even if it would match well my 60V/60A "bigger" Ps.

I guess it was to good to be true, just received the following
Quote
HERB EPPLE ENTERPRISES (piyopiyodude@gmail.com) has issued a refund for your payment.

If your item was not shipped, you may also get a refund for any international shipping costs and import charges you paid. If you do get this refund, we'll send you a separate email.

Message from merchant: Sorry out of stock.

Do not forget to leave feedback!

By the way, I don't know what's happening recently (and by that I mean ~5 years) but such things happen more and more often. Around year 2000 it wouldn't matter what apartment shop you ordered from, you'll get your merchandise - and in a reasonable time. It got worse and worse that at some point if you got a good price (just good but reasonable, not some typo) almost surely you wouldn't see the goods. And no scam (not even incipient), just "can't deliver".

ebay was fine for a longer time. Take something from a small shop ("buy it now", neu, etc) you'll have it the same week. But then even there they just can't deliver. Why bother then listing it (which isn't free, and there are fees (for the seller) also for the transaction, even if you give a refund)?

I've messaged the seller saying that selling items not in stock is against eBay rules and that's the reply I got:
Quote
Hi,
Sorry for the problem, We had 20 items in stock but got orders for 38 in 1 hour so had to take first come first orders
Dan

I don't get it, eBay listing only shows 20 items and 20 are sold.

Just stupid excuses, I've got all combinations. 8 or "more than xxx" listed, want 4 - we don't have, just 3. Or I want 1 - sorry, not available.

Let's see how many ARE sent. I predict under 5, more like [0..2]
