Wanted: hot air station element
« on: February 05, 2013, 02:13:12 pm »
I'm looking for a two wire element for a 110v hakko hot air station.

My unit is an 850 but I'm pretty sure they used the same element in many models. I think the Chinese knockoffs will work too.

I figured someone on here probably has a spare that they would let me have cheaply.

Two wires are for the heating coil, the other two are for the thermo-couple.

Some stations  (Maybe older ones?) use a 2-wire element. No thermocouple.

Not bad... I just wish shipping to Canada wasn't $30. Ill shoot them an e-mail.

Any other sources or ideas? I don't really want to spend $45 on a part that could cost $5. Especially when I have no guarantee that the unit will work.

hi..
Is this the one you are looking for ?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Hakko-Atten-850-Heating-Element-A1144-110volt-/270668275288?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f05161e58

I contacted Hakko about that element and they said that the a1144  is a special order item and it will fit but won't get up to the right temperatures. Ideally I need a a1145  element or equivalent.
