Back in the BBS days we did competitions in throwing old HDDs as far as possible at our BBQs. The cheap 5-1/4" Seagate SCSI drives were great for that.
Yep, I remember that. And in front of quite an audience too.
But today nobody seems interested in such an event any more.

Anyhow. Just finished gluing the magnets under a plastic dish cut
from a piece of clear plastic packaging. You know, the type where
you have to cut off the edges all round quite forcefully with scissors in order to
gain access to the contents. How I hate such packages.
