Hi Folks,
I ended up with two Tek 2465B scopes - they both power on, but neither are in good working condition. They are likely best for parts or a fun project for someone. I don't want to scrap them (especially since the 2465B was a good old analog scope), but I'd prefer they are out of my garage as well. So I would like to see them go to a good home where someone will love them and care for them and maybe read them a nice bedtime story every now and then :-DD I'll (technically Rohde & Schwarz) will even cover shipping to anywhere in the US - sorry, I don't want to ship them internationally (insert angry comments here - I apologize in advance :-\ ).
As is. As my wife and I tell our kids - you get what you get and you don't throw a fit. They're free.
First come, first served! Reserve in the thread and then PM me your shipping address and I'll get them out ASAP.

"Neither in good working condition" might be a challenge for a student. Ideally, the two could at least be Frankensteined into one working unit.
They certainly look nice. (Thanks for adding pics.)

May i ask for one, or more preferably both? I'd love to have one and fixing things is how i learn.
Just a note, i'm self taught in the ways of electronics.
EDIT: A typo.

While the electronics hoarder in me would love to add a B to my stable, I have a couple working 2465s of my own and am actually looking to downsize a couple Tek scopes of my own. I'll give my chance to neo; he's a regular in the boat anchors (TEA) thread and would for sure be both thankful and a conscientious curator for these bits of space-era history.
Cheers,
mnem
If we save the whales, where will we keep them?

I have an 'A' model, and it's a very nice instrument. Good luck to whoever winds up with them. :-+

Does either have a good CRT? I've been looking for one to repair my 2465B.
-
I'd be interested in one, I have an appreciation and small collection of older Tek gear.
PM sent.

I have a large collection of Tek gear and would love to have one. Not to keep, just to try and get it working and calibrated again. I can make a video about it and then pass it on to a student it need.

One puts green on screen. But I figured I would send that one to the first person to reply, so I'll send that one to Neo. I'm assuming you don't want the second one (it lights up, but doesn't put green on the screen).

You're number two in line (assuming Rog520 doesn't want the second one as it may not have a good CRT) so you get the second one.

While I love this idea, unfortunately you're #3. Should I end up with another, I'll definitely keep you in mind!

No worries mate. I love to tinker and if I can have fun and help someone get a cool scope, its a win-win. Thank you for the kindness and sharing it here on the blog.

Thanks for your consideration, Rich. I would take a gamble on it if you want to send it, but it sounds like ArcticGeek would give it a good home so probably best to send it his way. If you happen to come across another that might possibly have a good CRT, I would be very interested. :)

If I get additional ones, I'll definitely let you know too! :-+

Rich, thanks for choosing to relocate your scopes via the forum. Looks like it worked out great (and quickly).
-
Rich,
Many thanks! Let me know if/when you ship it my way.

@Neo
@ArcticGeek
Both scopes have shipped out. I'll PM you the tracking numbers, but you should see them Wednesday.
Glad they went to good homes.
