I've never seen a faked Fluke 87V, too.
(Perhaps I don't know it because the fake was made very well...?)
A comparison/review/teardown would be very interesting for me.

I wonder if it's just about delaying any dispute beyond the 45 day PayPal dispute policy limit?

If I sell 10, surely one of those people I'll be able to convince to wait long enough so I can get the cash?

Seller takes 5 days to dispatch it ~ day 6
Seller says wait 31 days for the post ~ day 36
You wait a few more days, because you're trusting & post if flaky. You contact Seller. ~ day 39.
Seller replies and says wait a week, and you'll get a refund if it hasn't arrived ~ day 41
You wait a week ~ day 47. POW! 45 day PayPal Protection timeframe exceeded.

An awful lot of people don't know you should always raise a dispute before the 45 days passes...

Same listing pattern as aluminumstick and pharmurlife.  All the evidence points/infers that seller walkingluxury is another scam artist.

It could be that they(the HK/China sellers) are selling the Vici 87 which is a Chinese knock-off of Fluke 87v but not mentioning it as such, but I believe by now it has been established that they are scammers.

Well its been 38 days since I bought from myths2692147 and theres still nothing in the mail. I've officially opened a dispute on eBay... We'll see what the seller has to say ... Looks like some of you were right... I'll keep posting further developments.

It's 12 days since I raised a claim with myths2692147.
I waited 7 days before escalating dispute to claim.
Still no response.

Never received my meter nor got any answer to my messages from myths2692147. Paypal just closed the claim in my favor. I expect refund within next week... I'll definitely email eBay about my (our) story and emphasized that the "modus operandi" of the scammer(s) is well known...

Jons28: And can I make a simple suggestion. As Dave’s Blog is very high up on the search engine lists if you see a new incarnation of this scam post the sellers name it will then at least be on the top of the search list with the heading BEWARE OF THE FLUKE 87V SCAMS ON EBAY!  It may go some way to help inform new buyers. RFguy obviously found it and others will too.

Since I'm still looking for an 87V on eBay, I'll post every seller with the same pattern I find in this post and encourage anyone else to do the same...
