Shows the members here aren't a pack of hyenas.  I'd be interested if I don't win Dave's dumpster dive scope - but I'd feel a little self conscious about putting my hand up.  There's also shipping cost to Australia to consider.

I could really use that TDS754C for some high speed stuff I've been working on lately. My analog 2465B just isn't good enough for capturing some of these glitches and stuff.

Ok - this is the time to figure out the best way to do this one. I am thinking that I will just pull two names out of a hat and the first one gets the Tek and the 2nd one gets the Rigol.

This all needs to happen shortly after I get the new one make sure it is all up and running first. I have no idea when that will happen yet.

I have already planned a video for the big reveal. Everyone can laugh when they see me struggle to figure out what the hell to do. I will try to get a sine wave out of the ARB into channel 1 for my first lesson.

While I would not be against having a nice 4 channel Tek, I really wouldn't use it's full features all that often.  Somebody else would.  Also, shipping to Australia is a little scary.

8 lbs?  The specs I found show the Tek weighs just over 14kg (a little more than 31 lbs) with dimensions of 7.6 x 17.5 x 17.1 inches.  Add some packaging to that and see what it comes to.

The Rigol is more like 12 x 6 x 5¹/₄ inches and just 5.5 lbs. - plus packaging.  Not AS scary.

USPS to Australia for the Rigol is about $100 USD and $214 USD for the Tek.

 Voted early and often. It was a good effort. Really glad to see it all came together in the end. Keysight really stepped up and that puts them right at the top of my list.

 I will second Brumby - while the Tek would be cool, I can't really justify something with those features while I'm sure someone else here could. So if I should be lucky enough and be offered a choice, I would pick the Rigol.

Well, for some, the 500MHz Tek may be of great use, but we may already have better than the Rigol. For others, the Tek may be far too much scope, but they could put the Rigol to good use.

Personally, I'm in the former camp. (As I already have a 200MHz Tek MSO2024B as a daily driver, so I'd rather see someone else make use of the Rigol. The TDS754C, on the other hand, I could put to really good use, as my highest bandwidth scope is an analog 400MHz Tek.)
