FS (UK) Kvarz CH1-76 Passive Hydrogen Maser
« on: May 15, 2019, 06:07:15 pm »
Selling on behalf of a friend, a Kvarz passive hydrogen maser. Comes with manual & original acceptance data pack. Cosmetically good with the original (Russian) BNC socket for the 5MHz o/p changed to a standard one.
This passes the power up sequence, starts to work & then flags up an error message. The time taken to log the message varies & a dry joint is a good place to start.
Except after 18 months I have failed to actually do this & my friend feels someone else may want to try.
Collection from Torquay preferred but shipping is possible but will not be cheap.    Price £1250.00

Questions or pictures please PM me.

You have pictures
How heavy is it?

Very tempting, but it is physically a little large for my small lab and I know I wouldn't manage to find the time to fix it besides which it is rather beyond my budget but I hope whoever does get it posts some pictures of the repair/restoration.

Shipping to  Northern Europe using a specialist freight forwarder to pack & ship (wooden crate) is between £265 & £300 depending on destination. hope this is of help to all who have asked the question.

Fascinating device!  I'd be all over it but it would be a pain in the butt to ship to the US  :-//

Yes, it is difficult & expensive to ship to the USA but that is where it is probably going...........

So this is provisionally sold - just waiting for the funds to arrive.

Is there any chance you took pics of the interior before it went?
