Right... this is a 3D printer so I've no time or patience for it. Other people might appreciate their 'qualities' and potential uses but I don't!
Customer return - "EXTRUDER NOT WORKING".
Well if they'd bothered to return the extruder it might have been an easy job to figure out what was wrong. But they didn't, so £200+ spent on a new one before I could start testing it. Oh and they also neglected to return the 24v 10A power supply, this thing doesn't have a nice simple IEC mains in connection.
It's HUGE. I guess that means it's got a huge build volume as well. It's very quiet, and it's got an air filter so it doen't stink the place out. I put the new extruder in and pressed a button to feed the filament and it actually seemed to behave. I pushed another button to reprint the last job (a scary thing to do lol) and off it went and built a typical piece of 3d printer type nonsense. Built it quite well actually, I went for a walk and didn't have to use extreme language or gestures at it once.
It's a discontinued model - the 'Plus' version now has WiFi and a better extruder (the extruder I bought was a new improved one). The 'Plus' is also £600 more expensive than this was.
https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/up-box-3d-printer-n36ebSo.. it works, new extruder, half a spool of something white, dodgy industrial DIN rail mount 24v 10A power supply for you to put in a case and make safe.
It does seem to get decent reviews, and to be fair it didn't fight with me and it printed something first go.
£600 £500 shipped to UK and sensible EU countries?
