SOLD - ABS plastic enclosures
« on: April 14, 2019, 01:01:57 am »
Hi all,

It looks like I have sold all of these, but if there are any left over I will update the post.

I have 146 76 (as of 25/4/19) of these 150mm x 80mm x 30mm enclosures available in bulk (minimum qty 5). They are all individually wrapped/sealed - brand new condition.

Features:

  • 150mm x 80mm x 30mm external dimensions
  • Flame retardent ABS to UL- 94 VO with the base and lid moulded in dark gray with light gray end panels
  • Ideally suited for instrumentation and telecommunication equipment from hand held to lab and desk top
  • These cases have a four part design with a tongue and groove joint between the top and bottom of the case, and end panels of the same material.
  • Designed to IP54 of IEC 529
  • The top & bottom is lightly textured which gives a non scratch surface & maintains the high quality finish
  • There are guide slots provided for vertical mounting of PCBs
  • Bosses are provided for the horizontal mounting of PCBs (approx 55mm x 110mm screw centres)
  • Four M-3 screws hold the case together (supplied)
  • Includes four self adhesive rubber feet
  • Individually sealed in plastic bags

These are the same as the Jaycar/Techbrands HB6034 enclosure, but have additionally been custom sprayed on the inside with a copper based paint to aid with EMC.

The end panels are a perfect size for BNC connectors, Banana jacks, USB, DB9 or DB25, DC barrel jack etc. This would be a nice enclosure for a small test instrument or similar.

Prices are : 5 for $20, 10 for $30, 20+ $2 each. Paypal is fine (buyer pays fees), bank deposit, or cash on pickup.

Pickup is from Birkdale 4159, or from my work address in Milton 4064, Brisbane, Australia. I can also post at buyers expense - I've found I can squeeze 20 units in a 5kg satchel (weighs about 2.5kg, but limited more by the volume). A 5kg Satchel is $17.65 + some packing material - call it $20 posted within Australia.

For reference, I've found that I can fit 20 cases in a large (5kg) Australia Post satchel. 20 cases only weighs around 2.5kg, but its more about the volume (physically fitting them in the satchel). Possibly could squeeze another 5 in there if I had to.

A 5kg satchel is $17.95, plus a bit more for bubblewrap - lets call it $20 postage for 20 units anywhere in Australia (well, wherever Australia Post will deliver to anyways). I've updated the count of cases remaining in my first post, and will do so as they sell.

International post is a little too expensive - I was quoted over $80 to Malaysia for 20 cases - bumps the per unit price up a fair bit.

The internal coating is a nice touch.

I should have added a few more to my order then ;) I imported a few similar ones via Ali Express last year and they are a good general purpose size.
Coffee, Food, R/C and electronics nerd in no particular order. Also CNC wannabe, 3D printer and Laser Cutter Junkie and just don't mention my TEA addiction....

Free bump. My 20 turned up this morning after their Easter Holiday. Internal metallised coating is really good on the one I tested. Footprint is slightly larger than my S7 and obviously fatter but a good all round size for hand held gear in particular if the job doesn't like RFI noise.

The last lot of these has now been accounted for. If for some reason there are any left, then I'll update the post again.

I do have quite a number of small Australian made die cast aluminium boxes (Hammond 1590LLBBK) with a textured black painted finish that measure  50mm x 50mm x 25mm - I'll put these up as a separate listing. Pretty tiny, but might be useful for something (tiny stomp boxes??). These are new in shrink wrap. Drawings here : https://docs-apac.rs-online.com/webdocs/13fd/0900766b813fdf76.pdf

Thanks everyone :)
