Got mine in two deliveries. Ordered last Thursday. One USB dev board arrived 2-day FedEx from the Netherlands on Monday. Two plain dev boards from TX arrived yesterday.

I suspect TI spent more on shipping than I spent on the order this time.

My shipment was scanned at Mascot (Sydney airport) an hour ago  :)

It had an overnight stay in Honolulu and headed on to Australia after morning tea.

I tried to order again today.  The TI website says the promo is good to 31 Dec 2017.  But when I entered the coupon code from TI's website, first it wanted me to login to apply the code and then when  it accepted the coupon, wanted to charge me $6.20 each.

I cancelled and sent TI a grumble.

If you were trying to buy 3, that's what was supposed to happen. The coupon is good for $4.30/unit for max of 2 units. If you tried to buy 3, they were going to charge you $4.30, $4.30, and $9.99, or $18.59 total, or, dun dun dun, $6.20/unit.

Thanks for the explanation.  I usually just buy two of a dev board, one extra to cover user error.  This was interesting enough to make me want a third.

I *do* wish TI would have been more clear.  The human time cost exceeds the price difference.

I hear you on that, because I ran into the same thing and was annoyed/confused as well.

If they'd split the line in the cart into 2@$4.30 and X@$9.99, it would have been clear to everyone immediately what was going on.

Mine has arrived.

GRAND FORKS, ND  to  SYDNEY, NSW  in 103 hours and 25 minutes.  Add to that about 18 hours for order processing.

No complaints.

Mine arrived and unplugged it in and went to the TI web app but it doesn't seem to be working. The light on the device is flashing continually and not changing based on button pushes. Does it require me to program it or is it possibly defective?

I didn't run my boards yet but, by the looks of it, it may well be running a blink LED app. I would try to re-flash the board.

Oh, the "whys" of the datasheets... The information is there not to be an axiomatic truth, but instead each speck of data must be slowly inhaled while carefully performing a deep search inside oneself to find the true metaphysical sense...

I just bought two before the end of the year, but man the purchasing procedure is painful. I'm not even talking about the ITAR stuff, but things like repeatedly filling in your credentials and then changing the shipping country at the bottom of the page to find out you can start over filling things in again. Or having to confirm your email address to get the coupon discount, to be sent to a login page from your confirmation email, only to be asked to confirm your address from the email again.

Regardless, two LaunchPads should be on the way. I'd be fun to see how the fabled low energy consumption stacks up against other MC families.

Anybody used their FR2433s in a project yet (other than just collecting devboards)?
Any plans for the near future?

Because I didn't receive anything yet and haven't received any status updates on the order by mail, I logged into my Ti account to find that the order has apparently been cancelled for reasons unknown. This is very surprising and not at all what I've experienced dealing with other suppliers like Cypress and Microchip. Is Ti typically such a pain to deal with? This whole thing has been so much more complicated than it has to be.

Honestly.. yes. TI are very big and bureaucratic, and their web store is an absolute mess (also seems to change every time I use it). Good chips, generally fairly well thought out boards, horrible customer experience.

TI Store has issues with payments if TI can't ship right away. Again and again I have to re-validate payments. Most times they do ship before re-validating - but a few times my orders has just been put on hold because TI's store time-out on payments.

I don't think there were any issues with stock. What caught me out was that the order was cancelled without any reason given, and that the order was cancelled without informing me by email. Neither are what I've come to expect from various large silicon suppliers.

I've sent them an email requesting to process the order, but it's good to know Ti can be a bit fickle.
