I went to purchase another SDS7102V, but all the usual suppliers seem to have dropped it ?? I bought one a few years back, and there seemed to be a few suppliers offering them.
Any news / changes ? Even Saelig says battery optional? No longer supplied? Is there a newer one (with at least similar specs or better). Thanks

Hunt out a thread about these that rf-loop has posted in and ask questions there, he sells them (or used to) and he will give you sound advice.

Keep your eye on the used ones as mine, hardly used, developed problems with the rotary encoders.  Really bugs me.  I've not had an encoder go bad ever until I bought this scope.  I've seen a guy replace them but that is way, way too much work for something that shouldn't be necessary.

It's a great scope for portable, I have the battery in mine.

I checked who I bought mine from, smtzone, and he seems to have HEAPS !! I've never had a problem with my 2 units, and I bought them for the battery !! Vital.
I'm getting a couple more, just in case they're going EOL ?? Don't know why others have dropped them, just covering my ass :-)
