Because there is no way that you will be able to write test programs yourself. It's a nice teardown object, but that's it I think.

You could get some nice bits of gear out of the rack (maybe a pretty good LCR meter?), then the physical probing system could probably be hacked into something useful.  If you're down under and you have a big space to store it/disassemble it and some free time, it's probably worth the asking price.

$700 USD - honestly it probably wouldn't be too difficult to learn whatever language is used to create test programs... If I did more with PCBs I'd consider it - especially if I was in Australia but I'm not...

I contacted him about shipping, but shipping to WA would not have been cheap. The Sorensen power supplies alone would have made it worthwhile.

Mrs T's pretty little face would have been a nice picture perfect reddish glowing purpley colour too as she did all manner of backflips and cartwheels when she saw that thing parked in "my corner" LOL
