Wanted: TTi PL310 PSU - Service Manual
« on: July 01, 2012, 12:37:32 pm »
Guyzz i just got a Thurlby Thandar (TTi) PL-310 , for $50.

I have tested it , using my Agilent 6632B.

The TTi Amp. Meter is spot on (Ie. 499ma on 500ma load) , but the TTi Volt Meter is off.
It shows 14.316v on the Agilent , when the TTi is set to 14.00v. (The Agilent is calibrated lately)

Does anyone have a servicemanual , schematic or a hint to adjust this one ??

TIA
/Bingo

Well

I just discovered that seller had disconnected the v+ sensevire.

I have restested with the sensewire on.

Now 10v on the TTi is shown as 9.967v on the HP 6632B , and a 500ma load from the 6632B is shown as 499ma on the TTi.

Not bad for $50

Now that it seems like i have found the Servicemanual , i might just recalibrate the voltage.

At my workplace there are several similar, but triple output, TTi power supplies. The current readings are spot on, but the voltage readings are about 5% off! - I wonder if the sense wire is the same problem? The sense bar on these is properly connected but there could be an internally loose connection.
