Wanted, Badly Need B&K Dynascan Model 1070 Manual !
« on: January 22, 2018, 06:59:40 pm »
Hi guys,
I badly need a User Manual and or Operators Manual for a B&K Dynascan Model 1070 TV Analyst ( sometimes listed as a A107).  I can't find anything on the item. I have even checked with B&K but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated !  I would even be happy to buy the manual if I can find one !!!

Have you tried here:

https://www.bkmanuals.com/

(Note I've not checked to see if the 1070 is present)

This site lists the B&K 1070 manual for sale, but that model number is called a "Dyna-Sweep Circuit Analyzer":

  http://radioera.com/b-manuals.htm

And here is a picture of it:

  http://www.antiqueradioexchange.com/index.php?a=2&b=1456

And this ebay listing shows it is also called a model A107:

Not the right thing?

Thanks Guys for the response but so far all dead end. The B&K manual site didn't have the manual and the site that lists the 1070 shows it as a LCR Meter so no match so far. Please keep looking, hehehe. All the help is appreciated.   Dennis

I believe the TV Analyzer was the 1076. Look here: http://www.bunkerofdoom.com/lit/B-K_1076_Analyst.pdf

The sites I linked are not an LCR meter.  My guess is the 1070 (at least those 1070's) are some kind of sawtooth generator to test vertical and horizontal drive circuits of tube TV sets.  Nevertheless, it's apparently not what you're looking for.

The "TV Analyst" series has the model numbers 1000, 1074, 1075, 1076, and 1077, according to this person who seems to know the history:

Perhaps post a message in that forum.  Maybe you have a one-of-a-kind or limited production version?  Good luck!

Interesting; I had never heard that there were TV analyzers that used sheets of film for their test patterns! Eventually, the successors of this type of unit had digital pattern generators, but that wouldn't have been cost-effective (or portable!) in the vacuum tube era.

I must have been half asleep. You are right, the link you gave me does seem to be for the B&K 1070. They say they don't have the schematic but at least it is a start. I think I can figure out the circuits. Thanks again,

Dennis
