Just scored one of them in not working condition, probably not too hard to fix without schematic but won't hurt to have one. Tried Google but no luck :(

Can you post a picture of the internals? If it's re-badged or a clone, it will be much easier to recognise.
Hello <tap> <tap> .. is this thing on?

No internals picture as the unit is at home. Front panel from the net.

What I suspected. That exact case and front panel layout is sold under many name plates. The 3A version is the most popular, and I
believe Radio Parts were the original importers, from way back. I should have the 3A schematics somewhere, and the 5A should be
quite similar. Unfortunately, I can't search until the weekend. It's a very popular model, hopefully someone will have a schematic.

Manson Engineering Industrial Ltd. is the original manufacturer of the power supply in question and they do heaps of other supplies sold under many brand names. Have a look at http://www.manson.com.hk/ if you are looking for data on unknown power supply.

Mine is now fixed and working fine but schematic still would be appreciated. I've found half of the bridge rectifier shorted and two PCB tracks blown as the result of high current. Would be nice if they had fuses in main power supply, replacing the fuse is a lot easier then fixing PCB track!

I also have one of these Dick Smith power supplies.
Same fault, same fix!

I wired a 10 am fuse in series with the burned out printed circuit trace. I replaced the bridge rectifier with a larger one we had in stock.
Don't know the current rating, but expect it will be larger than the original.

Thanks for the thread. This is my first post on this forum.

Jim.

Sorry to revive this thread - does anyone have the 5A schematic for this Q1760 supply? Has a Manson PCB on it.

I see it's been a while since you posted this comment on top of this even older topic, but if you still don't have it I hope this helps......
