FYI for everyone here. Beware of the "seller" that posted here in this thread saying he had one for sale. When I asked for a pic, I was sent a pic of a totally different model. I told him of this and was then sent a pic of the correct model. Seemed a little suspicious so I did a google image search and found it on several websites. So in my opinion this seller is not trustworthy, and being a noob to the EEV forum should be checked into. i see his reply in this thread has been deleted, but I still have the private msg. His username is Bell20021 .

Try your local dealer as they might have a demo unit they're willing to sell for a bit less than retail.

Have you considered the SDG1000X models as they're a good bit cheaper:

Pretty hard to pick up a 2nd hand SDG2042X as they're hard to beat at this price point so most hang onto them.

I just used the board discount for saelig and got one for 469.06 with the 6% off.. after watching all the teardown and reviews its a really nice item for the price... and even hackable to 120.. bet siglent moves a lot of them.. works for software, get the at home people and get the companies they work for who can then pay big bucks
