[FS] Thermaltronics Tips/Soldering Stations [MORE] - EBay
« on: November 09, 2014, 10:41:22 pm »
Hey everyone,

I run a small shop on Ebay(User ID Denbo32) selling Thermaltronics tips and soldering stations.

I'm able to offer slightly better pricing to bulk buyers if your willing to do transactions off Ebay with paypal.  I have feedback of over 5,000(getting close to 6,000)

I'm able to get  some of the rarer tips from thermaltronics if requested.

Here is a link to my ebay store. http://stores.ebay.com/Thermaltronics

I ship internationally as well and will combine shipping.

If you want to work a  deal feel free to PM me or post here.

bought a chisel tip from you last week for my Metcal MX-500P-11 solder station.  Just used it - very nice!

Likely will buy from your store again.  I am in the USA so service is really speedy.

I've bought from you a bunch of times for both Metcal and Thermaltronics/EZ Braid irons and always had good service. Thank you and welcome to EEVblog!

Denbo32, I have a question.  I am also trying to save pennies to get either the TMT-2000 or Hakko FX-951.  I like the idea of the Curie point technology.  I don't understand the difference between the K, P and S models and the K,P and S tips.  I believe that the color codes indicate the temp range but the letter designation has me confused.  Could you please enlighten me?

You are correct that the color on the tips is the temp range
Blue - 325°C - 358°C
Yellow - 350°C - 398°C
Red - 420°C - 475°C

As for which series of tips
P - work with MFR-PS1100, MFR-PS2200, MFR-PS1K, MFR-PS2K
S - SP200, MFR-PS1100, MFR-PS2200 (SSC Tips)
M - MX-500, MX-5000, MX-5200
K - The K series only works on the Thermaltronics systems and only works.

Be aware of the tips available in each range. For the 470kHz stations, only the P series has large blade tips available.

Hm, SSC?, I have an MFR-1351, with MFR-H1-SC, but I guess that is not SSC tips, atleast they look differently in the pictures.
