After-sales services from eevblog shop?
« on: January 22, 2019, 12:19:23 pm »
Good day guys,

I ended up with two copies of BM235 multimeter from eevblog store - my friends didn't coordinate in items from my wishlist :)
Obviously I don't need two, so I tried to contact eevblog store to arrange return & refund for one of them, but no one is replying to my emails.

I tried emailing to sales@eevblog.com - where the invoice came from; then to all other email listed in [1]. It's been couple of weeks already and noone replies. I found no phone numbers to call.
I even tried to lookup their shop on Amazon US, but it seems to be defunct. No ebay shop as well it seems.

Did anyone ever tried to return an item to them? What's the process?

Get a bit more advanced in electronics and you'll find that two multimeters sometimes aren't enough! For example, to measure the efficiency of a DC/DC converter, it takes 4 standard DMMs or 2 dual channel DMMs.
Cryptocurrency has taught me to love math and at the same time be baffled by it.

Cryptocurrency lesson 0: Altcoins and Bitcoin are not the same thing.

Greetings haizaar, welcome to the forum.

I know Dave generally takes some well needed time away from the lab to spend with his family over the new year period. Access to his emails and systems are limited.

If you've already sent him an email, he will get to it eventually.

Good day Halcyon,

Thanks for warm welcome and some details.
The first email I sent as on Jan 6. Do you think he is still away?

I think he's back now ... but you know what it's like when you get back after a break.

5 days ago he uploaded a video from the beach, but he has just uploaded another on a few hours ago, so it seems as though he's back in the lab.

Absolutely, it takes at least a week or so before my brain starts to work again. ;-)

That's true :)

I'll wait another week or so before sending ground mail.

You are correct that you don't need 2.  You need 4.  That way you can measure voltage/current going into a power supply circuit, and measure voltage/current coming out of the power supply circuit to the load.  This allows you to measure efficiency.  :P
