Amazing flying of mostly dead aircraft

While reading http://www.pprune.org/rumours-news/588730-tu154-out-sochi-missing-4.html about the sad news of the crashed Russian TU154 out of Sochi, I came across this video from 2011:

Extreme landing of uncontrollable Tu-154

One of the pilots of the plane that crashed in Sochi was famous for landing this plane. It happened in 2011. The airplane, after 10 years of being inactive was to be ferried to a repair plant. Right after takeoff, most of the controls failed. The only things that were working were the ailerons and the engine thrust.

It's astonishing he could land that aerial roller coaster ride.

It wasn't one of the pilots but navigator.

I presume you are familiar with UA232?

Ignore the film; the pilot's transcript is far more moving. http://clear-prop.org/aviation/haynes.html
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.
Glider pilot's aphorism: "there is no substitute for span". Retort: "There is a substitute: skill+imagination. But you can buy span".

And the DHL bird flying out from the sand that got hit by a SAM.
I didn't take it apart.
I turned it on.

The only stupid question is, well, most of them...

Save a fuse...Blow an electrician.
