« on: February 21, 2012, 04:34:52 am »
So I came across this data sheet for a LM1876 22W audio amp.. and I cant seem to find the 'Supply Current' ratings. It's probably just slipping by me... but can able one help and point it out please?

Thanks!

Need the max supply current or something? You could figure it out from the power dissipation vs output power graphs, which have different curves for VS = +/- 15, 18, 20. Otherwise it's not explicitly stated.

In page 18 (page 19 on the pdf reader) there is an equation how to calculate the required power supply current and voltage.

Iopeak = Sqrt(2Po/Rl), where  Po is the output power and Rl is the load resistance.
