I was watching a highschool robotics competition and they built big, fast, agile robots that could load up a stack of boxes inside it's frame . And a person could easily stand in this and drive around.

So add some more human type arms and a scary looking helmet.

No one with any sense would oppose you walking down the street then. (until the batteries wear down) But still, this is a great idea. And it's area is about the same as a mobility scooter.

What are you specifically looking for? I used to work in a lab that was attempting to do an exoskeleton for paralyzed patients that, unlike current market options, is

1. primarily mechanical
2. low cost
3. ease of manufacturer

For any medical device, you will have to do a heap of testing before approval. There are also big factors in how much assistance you need. You can get something like a REX suit that practically walks for you, or you can get something that is assistive first and foremost.
