Anyone want to learn about Valves?
« on: April 01, 2018, 03:11:14 pm »
Hi

One of my colleagues at The National Museum of Computing asked me to post here inviting you to his valve workshop.

http://www.tnmoc.org/news/upcoming-events/valve-workshop-returns

So, if you ever wanted to know about Valves, come along.
Both the analogue (yes, you audiophiles who want to build a valve amp) and the digital side are covered.

That sounds like it would be an awesome event. I've been following some of their computer rebuilds.

Unfortunately time, money and living on the other side of the planet conspire against me  :(

Ash.

Why did I think that this would have been about pipe valves before I clicked it.
I forget who I am sometimes, but then I remember that it's probably not worth remembering.

Because the Brits and most of their later offspring never learned what a vacuum tube was.  <ducking>

That looks really interesting ... and a real change from the usual microprocessors and SMDs I play with.

A friend and I have both I've signed up for the two days. Should be good.
