I like the standard equation editor in Word.
Is there any way to copy an equation from Word into the forum?
Yes--if you are using Office 365.
1. Enter the equation in Word.
2. Change the equation to LateX using the Conversions area in the Equation Tools--Design tab on the ribbon.
(3. Change the equation display format to Linear.)
4. Copy the LaTeX equation markup from Word into the forum.
Note: Step 3 may not be necessary depending on your equation editor settings.
Example:
I write this equation in Word: 1+1/(2+1/(2+1/(2+⋯)))=√2
I check that it displays nicely.
I convert it to LaTeX.
I copy it to the clipboard.
I paste it here.
It looks like this:
$$1+\frac{1}{2+\frac{1}{2+\frac{1}{2+\ldots}}}=\sqrt2$$
