Maybe in 3 years he will tell us how it works also.

I watched that yesterday, and looked at the Wiki page and saw another video. It just doesn't add up, it has the feel of those perpetual motion machines where they don't show you anywhere near enough to understand precisely how it works. Right now it seems to be smoke and mirrors that exist purely to get research grants.

Yes it seems like they're claiming to violate the law of thermodynamics.

An efficient rotary combustion engine already exists: it's called a turbine. The trouble is, it's only efficient at one speed which is why it'll only be good in a hybrid.

It's also theoretically possible to squeeze more efficiency out of a standard internal combustion engine which is already hot enough to drive another thermal cycle. For example people complain about air conditioning costing extra fuel but it's possible to power it from the waste heat from the engine.

Until they show me the internals, the math models, and the process used to arrive at this design, my tendency is to automatically call bullshit. That might sound cynical, but truly, I would love to be proven wrong. Key word: proven. Beyond the shadow of a doubt.

Turbines are not all that efficient! Here is my sons DIY turbine.
