CRT Class Action Lawsuit - US residents
« on: August 03, 2015, 02:08:18 am »
I came across this rather interesting lawsuit concerning price fixing of CRT's sold from 1995 to 2007.  https://www.crtclaims.com/ While this only applies to residents of some US states, I suppose that other states may eventually be included, possibly other countries as well.  Given that it wasn't until 2003 that LCD-based monitors/televisions outsold CRT-based monitors/televisions this is a gigantic law suit.

Has anyone here already filed a claim?  While I bought several monitors and TV's in that time frame (but no oscilloscopes) and live in NY state, I was a bit put off by the on-line form that asks for part of my social security number and date of birth.

That's very interesting and that it spans so long ago.  Having receipts for those items would be difficult to obtain, as the periods involved are beyond normal record keeping practice.
Best Wishes,
